Karen Graham Salib is a Senior Associate Attorney at Cooley & Handy and concentrates her practice in all aspects of Pennsylvania divorce and family law in Bucks, Montgomery, and Philadelphia counties. Her practice areas include divorce, the division of martial assets, spousal support, alimony, child custody, child custody relocation, and child support. Ms. Salib also handles adoption matters and provides divorce and custody mediation services as a trained and experienced mediator. Ms. Salib has extensive experience in litigating equitable distribution matters and in negotiating divorce settlement agreements, as well as in child custody and relocation matters, including matters involving inter-state relocation and the Uniform Child Custody Jurisdiction and Enforcement Act (UCCJEA) and its application in Pennsylvania.

Prior to joining Cooley & Handy, Ms. Salib was employed at Berner Klaw & Watson, a highly regarded family law firm in Center City Philadelphia. While there, she gained extensive experience representing clients in Philadelphia and Chester counties in Pennsylvania divorce and support matters.

Ms. Salib is a graduate of Temple University, Beasley School of Law. While in law school, she clerked for the Honorable Robert J. Matthews in the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas, Family Division. Ms. Salib served as an Associate Editor for Temple’s International and Comparative Law Journal and was inducted into the Rubin Public Interest Law Honor Society. She was also a student mediator with Temple Legal Aid’s Domestic Relations Mediation Clinical Program, providing pro bono custody mediation services to Philadelphia County participants.

Ms. Salib graduated magna cum laude from the University of Pittsburgh, where she received a B.S. in Psychology and a Children’s Literature Certificate. She taught pre-school at Windmill Day School and Camp in Doylestown prior to attending law school.

Ms. Salib is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. She is a member of the Family Law Sections of both the Pennsylvania and Philadelphia Bar Associations.

In her time away from the office, Ms. Salib enjoys traveling, photography, and cheering on her favorite sports teams – the Philadelphia Phillies and the Eagles. She is also an avid runner and takes part in several races throughout the year, including the annual Broad Street Run in Philadelphia, PA.
